UPVC WINDOWS ALWAYS ADAPT TO YOUR NEEDS – PART 1

uPVC windows are an indisputable building phenomenon of today's times. Although the opinions about them may differ, there are two things that cannot be denied and i.e. continuous technical development and the ability to adapt to the needs of the home and its inhabitants.

Combining aesthetic, functional and economical window requirements together with long lifetime requirements and minimal maintenance are not easy at all. uPVC windows are excellent just in the ability to adapt and satisfy as many requirements as possible

Still better and better

The driver for the rapid development of uPVC windows is the development of new technologies in the construction industry. Modern building materials, still increasing thermal insulation requirements, a significant increase of interest in low-energy or passive homes - that all contribute to the more attractive supply. Even in the area of uPVC windows, there is no window as a window. Having a bad window means automatic increase in rating/cooling costs, more noise, less safety, unpleasant "zones" of temperature differences in the room, more dust, glass sweating or freezing, and many other unpleasant accompanying phenomena including the products may vary not only by the quality of the used materila, the surface or glazing, but also construction and other elements that are not virble, i.e. the material used for cavity filling, reinforcement, sealing, etc.

What are windows made of

Today, up to eight-chamber frame profiles are produced, which represent, in particular, the still improving insulation and structural features of uPVC windows. uPVC frames are rigid and tough, often reinforced by steel profiles, maintenance-free and durable. Frost, humidity or UV radiation does not appear on uPVC windows even after long years.

The basis of uPVC windows are the frames, wings and partitions made by extrusion from unpainted uPVC. This is the abbreviation for polyvinyl chloride, which is a thermo plastic material derived from natural raw materials - salt and oil! If no plasticizers are added, it is known as uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride). PVC is considered to be one of the most adaptable, most economical and durable plastic. Therefore it is the most widespread material.

Advantages of uPVC windows

  • High resistance to weathering and aging: uPVC windows retain their visual and mechanical properties after a long time
  • favorable thermal insulation properties
  • very good soundproofing properties
  • simple and reliable operation
  • easy maintenance
  • color durability and luminosity
